Karen's Bio
For 25 years, I have helped children, teens and adults cope with bad things that sometimes happen in their lives.  I understand the ripple effects that these disturbing, difficult, or frightening life experiences can have.  
I believe that the most powerful component of therapy is the relationship.  In the safety of the therapeutic relationship, one can explore, find inner wisdom, and develop insight around experiences in their life.
​My approach to therapy is client-centered, neuroscience-informed and EMDR-focused.  As a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™, I also utilize creative modalities such as art, music, sand, and movement.  When I work with children, it is also important to work with, support, and provide guidance to parents because they are the child's most important source of support. 
In addition to therapy, I also offer consultation, supervision, and professional training.
