Lauren is licensed by the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Lauren received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas A&M University and Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. Lauren has experience working in the school setting as a school-based clinician. She has worked closely with administrators, teachers, and parents to provide counseling for children and families in the school setting. Lauren has experience treating children and adolescents who have experienced trauma such as sexual and physical abuse and help parents navigate the difficulties that these traumas bring to parenting.
Lauren's believes that all clients have the inherent ability to overcome whatever challenges they face with the help of a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. Lauren enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of presenting issues. She has experience in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, physical abuse, sexual abuse, family relationship issues, and parenting concerns. Lauren uses a variety of modalities to create a treatment plan that fits each client and their specific needs and goals. She is passionate about empowering clients to make positive changes in their lives. Lauren is happily married and enjoys traveling and spending time outside. Lauren has visited several countries but Spain and Ireland are her favorite. Lauren loves watching NBA basketball games with friends and attending Aggie football games when the weather is nice. |
